The Ember light plays with simple form and delightful detail. Ascending from the wooden chamber, a set of acrylic stems brighten as they become exposed. From a humble glow to a roaring blaze, temper the release of the light to fit the moment. Designer Junggi Sung of LUNAR will be exhibiting the Ember light at the Salone di Mobile in Milan from April 14-17 2010.
A native of Korea, Junggi Sung studied industrial design at Kookmin University in Seoul. He then worked at LG in Korea and IDEO in Boston before joining LUNAR in 2006. Junggi has since become an integral member of the design team, bringing a unique poetic approach to both his client and personal work. He has worked on a wide range of products, from consumer electronics to medical devices to tactile shampoo bottles for the blind. Junggi is passionate about designing products that inspire awe and believes that he has a responsibility as a design leader to change the world for the better. Junggi’s designs have been exhibited around the world and garnered numerous prestigious awards.
