CONNECTING '07

Thousands of designers converged on San Francisco for the IDSA/ICSID Connecting ’07 Congress. ICSID holds a biannual Congress in collaboration with a member organization in a host country, this year with IDSA, and the last one held in the US was in 1985. Lunar was thrilled to welcome the worldwide design community to San Francisco and opened its doors for an open house, held a fabulous party, and participated in panel discussions during the conference.

RE: FRESH

Lunar Design and I.D. Magazine hosted an upbeat party for Connecting ’07 attendees at the Limn Gallery. Designers from around the world gathered for the event, taking in the ambiance, the music – Josh Jones ensemble – and supporting Acterra at the carbon neutral event.

INTERACTION '08

CONVERGENT DESIGN CONCEPTING:
HOW TO INTEGRATE ID AND IxD THINKING

Coming up soon is Interaction08, the first annual conference thrown by the Interaction Design Association. Lunar’s Director of Interaction Design, Gretchen Anderson, will be speaking there, along with other industry pundits such as Alan Cooper, Jared Spool, Bill Buxton and more. The conference will be held in Savannah, GA, USA on February 8-10, 2008. Early registration ends December 15.

COMPOSTMODERN

Lunar Design will be a sponsor of the upcoming sustainability conference, Compostmodern. The event will be held on January 19th, 2008 in San Francisco, and will bring together the design community to address sustainability issues facing the industry and how designers from various fields are addressing them.
