Odosketch is an on-line sketching GUI created by Odopod, a digital agency, that lets you create drawings in a nice pastel watercolor style. Some of the featured work is pretty good, but what’s even more interesting is that when you click on a thumbnail, the image is revealed as the artist actually painted it. You get to see their first stroke, and then how they massaged the rest of the picture into existence. While it would be good to be able to toggle this feature on or off, it’s a nice touch that lets you experience an artist’s technique.
There are plenty of on-line drawing widgets, but Odosketch applies a particular experience, manifested through form and color, on top of the technology.
