The HP Design for Brand program driven by Lunar sought to build a cohesive and aspirational brand image across all products and markets that HP serves. We created these concepts – camera, slate and stone – to capture the imagination of HP’s stakeholders and empower HP to live up to its “Invent” motto.
The Camera was created for “on the go” journalists and other professionals who need to conveniently capture, edit and transmit information throughout the day. The hand-sized device provides GPS functionality with a high-end digital movie camera and on-board editing functions.
Building on HP’s legacy of developing exceptional instruments, we strived to make Slate more of an instrument than a laptop computer, while including capabilities evolved from today’s “wireless” products.
The Stone design integrates evolved handheld computer and digital imaging functionality into a palm-sized device, while its form takes inspiration from common objects such as worry stones and pocket watches.
