Lunar's industrial design was instrumental in helping reduce the complexity of the da Vinci robotic surgical system. Challenged with developing an ergonomic system that was familiar to surgeons, Lunar studied and watched multiple operating room procedures to understand the needs of the physician.

Now owned by Beckman Coulter, the AvoSure point-of-care device was originally designed and engineered in conjunction with Avocet Medical. The small, hand-held device was one of the first self-care home medical devices developed. Lunar's goals were to provide patients undergoing anticoagulation therapy with a simple interface and easily readable test results.

The AxSYM laboratory immunoassay system from Abbott Laboratories was a pioneer in fast and efficient throughput of multiple samples. Lunar's careful planning of low volume production methodologies allowed Abbott to meet its manufacturing goals, while providing a time-efficient rollout of the product. (The system and its descendants are now used in more than 10,000 laboratories worldwide.)

The SureStep Pro glucose monitoring device and companion supply tote was designed for use in both home and hospital settings. The portability and ease-of-use of the product belies its complex electronics and functionality in frequent monitoring of diabetic patients.

A ground breaker when launched, the Acuson Sequoia Ultrasound System is featured in the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History for accomplishing a "quantum leap forward" in ultrasound technology. Design was a key success factor for Sequoia due to the emotional nature of ultrasound procedures, the ergonomic needs of the technicians, and the longevity of the product's lifecycle.

Lunar has designed and engineered numerous medical laser devices for Lumenis (formerly Coherent). The LightSheer Diode Laser was designed to be mobile with a highly ergonomic handpiece, and was engineered for efficient servicing by separating the laser mechanism from the main components.
